Ten Podium Places in Northampton

On the 21st of May, nine young fighters from Evolution Martial Arts on Fishtoft Road, Boston travelled to Northampton to compete at the WAKO Kickboxing Northants Open held at the Benham Sports Arena. Evolution fighters had a very successful day finishing off with an impressive 4 golds, 3 silvers and 3 bronzes.

Fighting in style, beating fighters from around the country and finishing their categories with a gold trophy and in first position were the following fighters in their category:

Ellis Vaughan ,6, in the 5-6 year old Mixed Ability Point Fighting Division after beating competitors from Northampton, London and other well known clubs.

Mason Vaughan ,9, in the Boys Beginner -145cm Point Fighting and fighting and beating fighters from Northampton and across the country.

Talon Chambers, 11, in the Boys Intermediate -165cm Point Fighting after beating a strong opponent from Tamworth in the final which went to a golden point.

Paige Stedman, 11, in the Girls Intermediate -145cm Point Fighting after beating fighters from Tamworth and Croydon.

Taking a well deserved silver medal in their divisions after some great fighting to make it through to the final were:

Leilo Tate, 5, in the Boys Mixed Ability 5-6 year old Continuous category missing out on the gold to a fighter from London.

Talon Chambers, 11, in the Boys Intermediate -155cm Point Fighting missing out on the gold against a fighter from Peterbourgh.

Paige Stedman in the Black Belt Point Fighting -145cm category missing out on the 1st place position to a well known GB fighter from Telford.

Coming again with a bronze medal in their divisions after some good fighting but missing out on a spot in the final were:

Teegan Aldis, 11, fighting in the Girls Continuous Kickboxing Intermediate -145cm after loosing to the eventual winner in the semi final from Nottingham.

Mackenzie Warrant, 11, in the Boys Continuous Kickboxing Intermediate -145cm after loosing to a fighter from Guildford, London.

Coming away with a fourth place and just missing out on a spot in the podium were fighters Olivia Green, Teegan Aldis, Leilo Tate and Theo Magalhaes who is only 5 years old and was fighting in his first kickboxing competition.
