GB Kickboxing Hopefuls are searching for Sponsorship!

Young athletes at Evolution Martial Arts are searching for potential sponsors and supporters to allow them to fulfil their dreams to compete at the WAKO Kickboxing Junior European Kickboxing Championships in September and the WAKO Kickboxing Senior World Kickboxing Championships in November this year to represent Great Britain.

After a very successful National Championships in February for members of Evolution Martial Arts, a local not-for-profit club in Boston, 6 young martial artists are currently in the process of being selected for the Great Britain Kickboxing Team.

Kickboxing is a totally self-funded sport, even at the highest level of European and World Championships. These young people from Boston and the surrounding areas are very dedicated to their sport and train almost every night of the week and at the weekend travel across the country for Team Great Britain Training Sessions and Competitions.

The success of these dedicated Bostonian athletes speaks for itself with multiple National Titles, World and European Championship medals amongst them. However, to be able to progress further and have the opportunity to represent Team GB this year they really need the help of individual and company sponsors. Kickboxing is now also an Olympic-recognised sport, and these athletes have big aspirations in the future.

Emily Greatrix is a 15-year-old kickboxing athlete who has grown up in Boston and currently attends Thomas Middlecott Academy where she is studying for her GCSEs. Alongside this Emily has been extremely successfully nationally and internationally in Kickboxing representing Team GB and winning National Titles. Emily told us “I have been kickboxing for eight years and last year I achieved my goal of representing GB in the World Championship in Italy. This was a fantastic experience and an honour to represent GB, I wish to repeat this by representing GB at the European championships in Turkey 2023.”

For just one athlete to compete at the European or World Championships the price will be over £1000. This isn’t considering the monthly travel to GB Training Sessions and Camps often in London or kit expenditures.

Therefore, any funds and sponsorship which can be raised to help these Lincolnshire youngsters to fulfil their sporting dreams would be greatly appreciated.

Emily Gregory is an 18-year-old kickboxing athlete from Evolution Martial Arts who achieved an impressive Bronze Medal at the Junior World Championships last year and is hoping to improve on this success this November at the Senior World Championships.Current Senior National Champion, Em wanted to say “Thank you for the sponsors who enabled me to fight for Team GB at the Junior World Championships in Italy last year the experience was unreal, and I am beyond grateful for the opportunity. I will be attending the Senior World Championships this year as I am now 18 and any help or Sponsorship would make a huge impact on helping me achieve my aspiration of being a Kickboxing World Champion”.
