On the weekend of the 14th and 15th of June 2025, five members from Evolution Martial Arts competed at the Hungarian Kickboxing World Cup. This was the 30th Hungarian Kickboxing World Cup with over 4,700 competitors from 52 nations and five continents. This was a fantastic weekend for our athletes from Evolution Martial Arts to be able to compete on such a high international stage against the best in the world.

Ruslan Vincukovs – Ruslan competed in the Children’s -30kg & -33kg Boys Points, Ruslan showed true grit and determination against some extremely tough opponents. Ruslan had fights against competitors from Poland and Slovenia, fighting like the little warrior he is.
Willow Grogan– Making the leap into the Younger Cadet Girls -32kg & -37kg Points, Willow demonstrated exceptional growth and commitment including winning to progress through to the Quarter Finals. Her performances were nothing short of outstanding with fights against competitors from Bulgaria, Croatia and Germany. Well done, Willow – your progressing every competition!
Mia Brackenbury– Taking on the challenge and stepping up a category to the Older Cadet Girls -60kg Points & Light Contact, Mia fought fantastically. She narrowly missed out in the points but came away with a well-earned Bronze in Light Contact after the match was stopped due to medical time. Mia had some brilliant fights against competitors from Switzerland, Czech Republic and Croatia. Incredible effort, Mia!

Nesta Baxter – Despite facing some of the world’s top-ranked fighters in -65kg Light Continuous and -65kg & -70kg Kicklight, and carrying an injury, Nesta had some greats fights. Nesta had some brilliant experience and fights against the World Number One from Czech Republic and then topped ranked fighters from Poland, Croatia and Slovakia. Nesta lost out to the eventual winners in each of her categories.
Chelsea Leggatt – It was fantastic to see Chelsea back where she belongs again on the International stage following her return in Amsterdam earlier this year, competing in the Ladies +70kg Points and Kicklight. She delivered strong performances across the board – claiming a win in her Points category against a strong Norwegian athlete and then missing out on a place in the semi-final to the eventual winner and World Number One from Germany. In the Kick Light, Chelsea won a Bronze after an exciting fight against an athlete from Estonia. Welcome back, Chelsea.

A huge congratulations to all our athletes for stepping up and competing at such a big event. All of the coaches are very proud of you all.
A massive thank you to our ever-supportive team behind the scenes and to our amazing coaches whom without it wouldn't be possible.
