Silver at the Austrian Classics World Cup 2023

On Sunday 19th March 2023, Nesta Baxter travelled to Innsbruck in Austria to represent Evolution Martial Arts and compete in the Austrian Classics World Cup. At the World Cup there were 32 nations, 85 clubs and 1337 athletes all competing at one of the most renowned competitions in the world.

Nesta won a Silver Medal in the Senior Female -65kg Kick Light category after successfully winning against athletes from Spain and Liechtenstein in the Quarter and Semi Finals. Nesta then came face to face with the current World and European Champion from Hungary in the final. The final was close throughout with Nesta showing improvement in her skill since the last time they met in the final of the European Championship. However, it was the Hungarian who took the gold this time and Nesta finished the competition with a silver medal.

Nesta would like to thank her coaches and everyone who supported her to be able to improve and continue with her success on an international level.
