Andrew Gregory, 16, Emily Greatrix, 15, and Olivia Green, 17, will be representing Great Britain at the WAKO Kickboxing Junior European Championships in Istanbul in Turkey in August. For Andrew and Olivia this will be their first time competing for Team Great Britain although they have both had previous success at international kickboxing events so are setting their goals high. Emily competed last year at the World Championships and hopes to build on her experience this year at the European Championships. Emily told us “I have been kickboxing for eight years and last year I achieved my goal of representing GB in the World Championship in Italy. This was a fantastic experience and an honour to represent GB, I wish to repeat this by representing GB at the European championships in Turkey 2023.”

Emily Gregory, Izabela Kusyk and Nesta Baxter have all been selected to represent Great Britain at the WAKO Kickboxing Senior World Championships in Albufeira, Portugal in November. This will be Izabela’s first time competing at the World Championships and Emily’s first time competing at the Senior World Championships where she hopes to build on her success last year at the Junior World Championships where she won a Bronze Medal. This will be Nesta’s eighth year representing Team Great Britain at the highest level, with previous a Senior World Bronze Medal, Senior European Silver Medal, and Senior European Bronze Medal, Nesta is setting high goals for herself this year.

This is fantastic news for a local not-for-profit club in Boston. We wish all these athletes the best in the upcoming competitions and in their preparation for these high-level championships.

We are still searching for sponsorship and donations to support these athletes in representing Team GB. For just one athlete to compete at the European or World Championships the price will be over £1000. This isn’t considering the monthly travel to GB Training Sessions and Camps often in London or kit expenditures.

Therefore, any funds and sponsorship which can be raised to help these Lincolnshire youngsters to fulfil their sporting dreams would be greatly appreciated. If you can sponsor our Team to help them to achieve this goal, we will be more than happy to help in return with advertisement on our website and social media and are happy to discuss any ideas from yourselves.

Thank you so much in advance. Please contact Head Coach, Linda on 07716510792 or email evolutionmartialarts@outlook.com
